Braised Venison Sandwich

Description: BBQ Bob is back with a brand-new savory, mouth-watering, sandwich recipe. Braised Venison Sandwich made with his Beef and Big Game BBQ Sauce!

INGREDIENTS

DIRECTIONS

  1. Coat venison roast with olive oil and then dust with 7 Bones seasoning on all sides
  2. In a skillet, on high heat, or on a hot grill, sear all sides of the roast to get a nice brown color then remove from the heat
  3. Get your smoker or grill or oven to 300°F (add 1 chunk of smoke wood if desired)
  4. Place your seared venison roast into a half pan and pour in the Big Game sauce, gravy, and 1 cup of water
  5. Shake in some 7 Bones seasoning (approximately 1 oz)
  6. Cook without a lid allowing the roast to braise in the liquid for approximately 3-5 hours or until fork-tender. (you want it to pull apart)
  7. Pull the meat apart and continue cooking for another 20 minutes
  8. Thicken braising liquid in a skillet for 10-15 minutes if necessary
  9. Serve on a fresh roll of your choice with sliced dill pickles and yellow onions
  10. Add peppers for spice if desired!
