Smoked Brisket on the Shotgun Smoker

Ingredients

  • 1 whole brisket
  • 2 chunks of Pecan smoke wood
  • 1/2 cup of 7 Bones Beef Rub
  • Butcher paper

Preparation

  1. Set smoker or grill to 275°F indirect
  2. Add 2 chunks of Pecan smoke wood to smoker or grill
  3. Season brisket with 7 Bones Beef Rub
  4. Cook brisket for 5 hours or until it reaches an internal temperature of 175°F
  5. Remove brisket and wrap in butcher paper and place back in smoker or grill
  6. Cook brisket for another 4 hours or until it reaches an internal temperature of 200°F
  7. Let rest for 2 hours before slicing
